Hello PSA Coaches!
At the PSA Spring Board of Governors meeting in Chicago, a proposal for the realignment of PSA Areas was approved. This plan expands the Area Representatives Committee to 16 domestic Areas and 1 international Area. It also redefines Area boundaries and renumbers the PSA Areas which will now follow USFS Regional boundaries wherever possible.

Area Representative is a volunteer position that focuses on communication between the Committee, PSA members and the PSA Board of Governors. Representatives promote PSA membership and welcome new members to our organization. PSA Area Representatives are visible members of our coaching community who are dedicated to the PSA and our educational system. The committee is also involved in the nomination
process for elected members of the PSA Board of Governors. A PSA Representative must be available to PSA members by e-mail, postal address, and phone, to answer questions and distribute information and must hold at least ONE Rating.

In addition, the committee is currently working on a Member Recognition Program
and a comprehensive E-Reach Roster. If you are interested in becoming an Area Representative, and/or would like to know more about the position, please let me know by responding to Marylill Elbe at
LBSK8@aol.com and I will forward our Committee Job Description to you.
Please respond by June 21, 2008.

Thank you for taking the time to consider this position. I look forward to hearing from you soon.
