The Opportunity
Trine University is seeking a highly motivated, energetic, personable and optimistic person to join our team as the Head Synchronized Skating Coach.  This position will support the Athletic department by leading the Synchronized Skating program. 
Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • • Manage all day to day related activities:
    • • Oversee Athletes
    • • Practice planning
    • • Film breakdown
    • • Set up Community Service Activities
    • • Set athletic performance plan
    • • Oversee athlete academic performance
    • • Assist with team discipline as needed
    • • As well as any additional duties assigned by AD
    • • Maintain fiscally responsible budgeting policies.
    • • Handle all aspects of team within University, conference and club policies and procedures.
  • • Lead all day to day recruiting activities. 
    • • Recruit an initial class of 25 athletes for the fall of 2018.
    • • Continually grow the Synchronized Skating program as University recruiting goals dictate.
    • • Set recruiting strategy and plan
    • • Identify and recruit quality student athletes
    • • Arrange for on campus recruiting days/activities
    • • Assign recruiting territory
    • • Individually responsible for additional recruits
    • • Maintain quality and open relationships with area high school coaches
    • • Schedule and staff summer off campus camp activities
    • • Assist with special events of the athletic department. 
    • • Other duties may be assigned.

The selected candidate would provide leadership, day to day management  of the program and the success of the program.
This is a year-round part-time position requiring a flexible schedule including evenings and weekends.

The position is subject to an hourly rate (ranging from $32/hour-$40/hour) commensurate with qualifications for the on-ice

(11/10/2017) Ice Vault Arena, Wayne, NJ is looking for energetic, qualified coaches to join our coaching staff.
We are a triple ice surface facility. We offer freestyle sessions weekdays and Saturday morning. Public sessions are Fri-Sun.

Staff coaches comprise our Learn to Skate USA staff. Classes are Monday and Friday afternoons, and Saturday mornings.
Our Winter LTS USA classes begin December 1st. Our LTS program has received the US Figure Skating Basic Skills Program
Membership Recognition Award since 2007 for having over four hundred members yearly in our Basic Skills Program.

Coaches must have current USFS membership, successfully passed a background check, and have liability insurance.

This is a remunerated position that includes both on ice and off ice duties, commencing December 1st 2017.
Bjorninn Skating Club is committed to providing high quality programming in a fun and environment for all our 120 skaters.

The candidate requires the following qualifications:
 Previous Coaching experience from the grassroots through elite level athletes
 Ability and desire to coach all levels
 The applicant must be enthusiastic, reliable and energetic with good organizational skills
 Experience teaching from double Axel through triple Lutz
 Experience coaching within the international judging system
 Strong communication skills and the ability to work with skaters, parents, other coaches and board members
 The applicant must be committed to maintaining and developing the current skating programs

Duties and Responsibilities:
 Provide leadership and coordination for the clubs programs and coaching staff
 Provide group and private lessons
 Oversee the daily/weekly/monthly/yearly scheduling in cooperation with the Board of Directors
 Provide leadership and coordination for special events such as Christmas and Spring shows, local skating performances, Summer Camp and Coaches Seminars
 Ensuring quality off-ice training
 Overseeing other skating coaches of the Club and any off-ice staff brought in
 Prepare music and programs for competitive skaters in the club
 Provide proper preparation of our skaters for national tests
 Take on responsibilities within the Coaches Committee of the Icelandic Skating Association
 Prepare and/or revise skating program annually or as needed in co-operation with the Board

Additionally
The coach needs to be willing to work with the Icelandic National Team and represent Iceland at international competitions.
