About the Gallery

The Taylor-Gebler Gallery features the works of Meghan and Douglas Taylor-Gebler from Prescott, Arizona. Each sculpture takes about one year to complete. Take our skaters for a spin and see how cleverly they are crafted and engineered. The costume sketches on the south wall of the gallery are original sketches from the Ice Capades, circa 1950’s. The dress in the display case is the actual dress worn by Kristi Yamaguchi in her portrayal of Juliet, which is displayed in maquette (or miniature) in front of the display case and also in heroic size outside in front of the building. Don’t miss viewing the heroic of “Paul Wylie’s Jump” located outside on the south patio.

"Art in its lasting value is revealed through time when each work is viewed more purely for itself- independent of the moment and cultural times of its creation. If a "statement" needs placement on this work, let it be that these sculptures interpret the depth and beauty of their subjects and reflect the quintessence of that beauty achieved in striving for an ideal. This work is a vibrant living being, which completes itself not at the finish of a bronze, but through its continued reflection in those who view it."
